Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
How
much do you and your spouse know about the assassination of John F. Kennedy? Do
you think it was a conspiracy, a disgruntled political decedent? Come to the
Sixth Floor Museum to better educate yourself and
form your own opinion.
Here
you will learn about John F. Kennedy, his presidency, Oswald and Ruby and you
can visit the South East corner of the sixth floor where shots were fired to
kill John F. Kennedy. The once crime scene has been recreated to give you a
true experience when visiting. 48 hours
after the shooting of the president Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested. You can see
the following artifacts from the shooting.
Homicide detective Jim Leavelle’s light-colored
suit,
Jack Ruby’s recognizable hat
Handcuffs worn by Oswald, and
Camera used by Dallas Times Herald photographer Bob Jackson to capture
the Pulitzer Prize-winning photo of the shooting.
You
can learn all about the visit the Kennedy’s were making to Texas, the shooting,
the arrest, the investigation, the crime scene and the historical culture of
the time.
